Yvonne Ballantine, of Westbrook, passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at the Springbrook Nursing Home in Westbrook with her loving family by her side. A life-long resident of Westbrook, she was born here the daughter of Fred and Delvina (Martin) Richard.  Yvonne worked at the S.D. Warren Paper Co for 31 years before retiring. She was a generous woman and gave often to many different charities.  She was kind, easy going, and lovingly devoted to her family. She had the ability to get along with anyone.  Yvonne was also very handy around the house; she was a "jack of all trades". She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Ballantine in 1988, a son in law Gerard Roy, brothers George, Arthur, Alfred, and Joseph, sisters Rita Baril, Irene Drouin, Anna Tanguay, Margaret Bergeron, and Emma Denault.  Yvonne is survived by her daughter Joanne Roy of Westbrook; grandchildren Suzanne Lydick and Husband Gary of Westbrook, Joseph Roy and wife Lisa of Westbrook and; great grandchildren Johanna Lydick, Maria Lydick, and Jacqueline Lydick and fiancé Matthew Boucher of Westbrook, Jonathan Lydick and wife Karena of Westbrook, and Adam Roy of Portland, two great great grandchildren Jase and Jaelyn as well as several nieces and nephews. A private service will be held, Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. Donations can be made in Yvonne's memory to Springbrook Nursing Home, 300 Spring St, Westbrook, ME 04092.
