Westbrook- William Edward Perham, 72, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 in Scarborough. The son of Arthur and Anna (Wernig) Perham, he was born in Portland on May 31, 1946. He served in the United States Airforce for 23 years, retiring as a Master Sargent. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After he retired from the military he worked for the W.L. Blake Company and for Walmart in Falmouth. When he was not working he enjoyed bowling. He was a Grand Knight, and a District Deputy for the Knights of Columbus Council 2219. He was also very active in the Stephen W. Manchester, American Legion Post 62, serving as commander of the post. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Gildard. He is survived by his wife of Carol (Landry) Perham, of 49 years, his daughter Brenda Hoffman, and her husband Mike of South Portland, his grandchildren, Zakkery Johnson of Westbrook, Kayla Dobson, and her husband Patrick of Berwick, Sara Johnson of South Portland, and James and Brady Hoffman of South Portland, his great grandchildren, Lucas Nolan, and Theodore and Clark Dobson. He is also survived by his sister Trisha Bailey and his brother Ray Perham and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church St. There will be a funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Interment with Military honors will take place in the Veteran's section of New Calvary Cemetery, Broadway, South Portland.
