STANDISH - William "Bill" Harris Jones, 64, passed unexpectedly May 21, 2016 at his home in Standish, ME. He was born August 28th, 1951 in Sewickley, PA, but grew up in Canton, ME, the son of Herman Jones and the late Jane Jones. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fly fishing and hunting. His love of life and people made him a wonderful person to be around and he found humor in even the most serious of situations. He was the family mechanic and could be found on any given weekend working on some family members' vehicle, even if it was talking someone through a repair by phone thousands of miles away. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his son Sean Sager and brothers, Donald Jones and Robert Jones. Surviving in addition to his wife, Diane Jones, are his son, Christopher Sager and wife Katina in WI, daughter Lisa Kehl in WI, daughter Renee Jones, and daughter Rachel Bedi and husband Gagan. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. One brother, Charles Jones and one sister, Gerri Sullivan and his father, Herman Jones. A Celebration of Life memoriam will be held on Saturday, June 4th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Spire 29 on the Square, 29 School St. Gorham, ME 04038.
