WINDHAM— William "Billy" Henry Gordon passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2018. He was born a Rockstar to the parents of William "Bill" and Margaret "Peg" (Henry) Gordon on March 10, 1979 in Longmont, Colorado. Billy spent his childhood growing up in Colorado, and later West Palm Beach, Florida. He was a 1997 graduate of Palm Beach Lakes High School and furthered his education, attending Palm Beach Community College. He moved to Maine about ten years ago, living in the Portland area for the last two. Billy was a free spirited, creative soul whose passion was food and music. Once a guitar was placed in his hands at a young age, he never put it down. His musical interests included a vast, eclectic group of bands, artists, and genres, and composed some of his own songs. Billy also took a liking to traveling and enjoyed visiting new places; even crossing off an item on his bucket list of sailing around for a year, making his way down the East Coast down to Florida. A hard worker, Billy held various jobs throughout his life, usually multiple at a time. He was extremely passionate about cooking, creating innovative recipes and learning about various cuisines from all culinary cultures. He was most recently employed as a cook at Bruno's Restaurant and Tavern in Portland. Personality was something Billy did not lack; always cracking jokes and teasing, he enjoyed getting a laugh out of his friends and family. Billy was easy going and lived life on his own terms, and kept what was most important, his family, a priority. Only two years apart, he had a natural friendship with his sister, Christy and he loved his nephew Collin and niece Samantha dearly. There was no one larger than life than their "Uncle Dude". He is survived by his parents, Bill and Peg Gordon of Windham; his sister Christy Michaud and her husband James of Gorham; a nephew, Collin Page-Michaud and niece Samantha Page-Michaud; his girlfriend Marjorie "Eva" Smith; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 28 at 12noon at the Windham Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 434 River Rd., Windham, ME 04038, where a period of visitation will be held from 11am until the time of service.
