HollisCenter – William G. Annis, 75, of Deerwander Rd., died peacefully, Thursday May 24, with his wife Therese and daughter Christine at his side. He was born in Westbrook April 22, 1937, the son of Harley and Ruth Guimond Annis. He was raised in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School. After graduation, he worked at Dana Warp Mill, until he joined the National Guard in 1955. He joined the United States Air Force in 1958 and retired in 1978 after 23 years of service. He had travelled all over the world, while in the Air Force. He settled in Hollis, Me. And worked for Cyro Industries for 23 years. On April 25, 1964, he married the love of his life, the former Therese Fredette, together they shared 48 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Loved camping, collecting tankards and Department 56 houses. He is survived by his wife Therese Annis, his daughter Christine and husband Floyd Kierstead of China, ME., his grandchildren Adam and Amanda Kierstead of Concord, NH., Devon, Catrina, Jeffrey and Skye Kierstead of China, ME., his sisters Delores Gouzie, Barbara Tanguay and Pat Waite. He is pre deceased by his parents, sister Gladys McDonald and brother Steve Annis. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held Friday, June 8, at 2:00 p.m. at the Southern Maine V. A. Cemetery 83 Stanley Rd. Springvale, ME. Arrangements are by the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook.
