Vivian Jane Smith, "Jane" as she liked to be called went to be with her family on April 8, 2014. A daughter of Gladys and Earl Smith, she was educated in the Westbrook school system graduating from high school in 1949. She went to work at SD Warren and retired after 25 years. She then went on to be a crossing guard for another 5 years. Never marrying, she devoted her life to her nieces and nephews and babysitting many other children over the years. She became to be known as Auntie Jane to all the family and friends. She was a life Gold Circle member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She will be sadly missed by all of her nieces and nephews and all of her lifelong friends. Visiting hours will be held from 9-11 on Saturday followed by a funeral service at 11 at Blais and Hay Funeral Home.
