Virginia G. Dauphinee, 92, formerly of Westbrook, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2016 at Portland Center for Assisted Living. She was born and raised in Westbrook, the daughter of Leland and Louise (Raymond) Kenney. She worked at S.D. Warren Paper Co. for 25 years before retiring. Virginia was a sweet woman that has always enjoyed her sweets. She enjoyed traveling, and spending summers at the family camp on Moosehead Lake. She and her husband Alfred enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling; they belonged to the Gorham Sno-Goers for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred; her brothers Leland Kenney Jr., Ronald Kenney, and Robert Kenney. Virginia is survived by her daughters Virginia Costales and her husband Rafael of So. Portland and Carol Ann Gagne of Westbrook; a brother Albert Kenney and his wife Dot of Westbrook; sisters-in-law Ola Kenney, Betty Higgins, and Sarah Sprague: brother-in-law Willard Dauphinee, and his wife Connie; seven grandchildren, Christine Gagne, Scott Gagne, Suzanne Macleod, Shawn Gagne, Michael Kirk, Edward and wife Christina Costales, and Karen Costales; four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
