Obituary

Portland – Virginia B. Worthen, 70, of Oakland Ave. Westbrook, passed away Saturday July 7, at the Mercy Hospital. She was born in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Myron P. and Doris Kinney Boehm. She was raised and educated in the Midwest and in New York City. She received her Doctorate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Virginia had been employed by AT&T and by The Standard Oil Co., before starting her own consulting firm. She had resided in Cleveland from 1984 to 1999 and in Westbrook from 1999 until the present. Virginia was an active supporter of several socially and politically liberal causes. She is survived by her sister Barbara Snyder of Vincennes, IN. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook. For online condolences go to blaisandhayfuneralhome.com
