Clinton, MD   Viola Dollie McKenney Lepenven, 98, passed away quietly on February 18, 2017.  She was born in Madison, Maine, the daughter of Wallace and Sarah McKenney.  Viola grew up in Norridgewock, Maine and graduated from Norridgewock High School.   In June of 1946 she married Arthur Lepenven.   They lived in Westbrook until Arthur passed in 1993.  Viola continued to live in Westbrook until 2010 when she moved to Maryland to be near her daughter, Lauraine. Viola loved bird watching, flowers, and gardening.  She loved playing BINGO and spending time with her many friends.  Viola loved to write letters to her friends and family.  She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting baby sweaters and hats.  She sold many of them over the years. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur and son Peter.  She is survived by her daughter Lauraine, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. A visiting time will be held at Blais and Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St, Westbrook, Maine on Friday from 10 to 11 AM.  A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in the spring.
