Verna Marie Dennison passed away peacefully on July 29th, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Verna was born on March 7, 1941, in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Forrest and Dora Diffin.

In 1955, she met the love of her life, Richard Dennison, Sr., and later got married on November 1, 1958, and had three children.

She spent her life being a homemaker and caregiver. She enjoyed spending her time with family, especially going to Bingo with her siblings, playing cards, camping at Camp Gregory, and most of all, the family got together at her home every Christmas Eve.

She is predeceased by her parents, Forrest and Dora, her loving husband Richard, sisters Harriett and Lillian, brothers Allie and Forrest Jr., and her baby Harriett.

She is survived by her son Richard Jr. and wife Karen of Portland, a daughter Dodie and husband Danny of Portland, as well as 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday August 6, 2026 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 pm, at Dolby, Blais, & Segee Windham Chapel, located at 434 River Rd. Windham with burial immediately to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
