It is with great sadness the family of VaLaura Ann Hartwell Dougherty announce her passing on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at the age of 74 years. Val will be lovingly remembered by children; Troy, Trina, Tracy and Chris. Val will also be missed by grandchildren; Ashley, Gage, McKenzie Dominic, Molly, Connor and her great-grandchildren. Val was predeceased by her husband of 18 years, Raymond "Doc" Dougherty. Val was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho to proud parents, Laura Colen Hartwell and George A. Hartwell Sr. Val was the only daughter, having two brothers; George Jr. and Ty. All immediate family members predeceased Val. Val graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1963. She proudly maintained relationships with High School friends via FaceBook. Val worked for Barber Foods for over 20 years. She fondly spoke of her position, co-workers and friends she made while working for the Barber Family. Due to current circumstances with Covid-19 there will be no viewing hours. The family will hold a private burial where Val will be placed with her one true love Raymond.
