Scarborough – Travers C. Jackson Jr., 78, of Ocean Ave. Portland, passed away Sunday Aug. 5, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice Center. He was born in Westbrook, the son of Travers C. and Louise Buotte Jackson. Travers had been a teacher in the Portland School System for over 35 yrs. He was also a communicant of St. Joseph Church. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Margaret, brother Stanley, nephews Timothy and Shawn. He is survived by his brother Frederick "Ted" Jackson of Portland , his long time companion Mary LeGage and her family and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Friday Aug. 10, at St. Joseph Church, Stevens Ave. Portland. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
