Obituary

Theresa E. Baillargeon passed away on January 22, 2012 at her home in Gorham, a daughter of John and Elizabeth McLoy, born in Concord, N.H. on March 3, 1932. Theresa met Roland in the early 50's and married at St. Dominic's Church in Portland, Maine. Roland started studying at the University of Maine where they live in student housing.  They moved to Whitefield, N.H. in 1959, then back to Westbrook, Maine in 1963. Every Tuesday and Thursday Theresa and Roland had a date at the university.  Roland taught mathematics and Theresa was an after dark scholar.  She graduated from the University of Maine in 1971 and started her teaching career in South Portland.  She loved South Portland and all of her students.  Even in her late seventies she could remember many of her student's names.  She often wondered what they were doing and how their lives had changed. Theresa was predeceased by her granddaughter, Nicole Baillargeon in 2000 and husband Roland in 2007.  She is also predeceased by her sisters Margaret, Winnie, and Jeannette; and her brothers Francis, Richard, and John.  She is survived by her sisters Mary Bertha Fisher, husband Ed of New York; and Anne Crowley of Conn.  Theresa is also survived by her four children, son Michael Baillargeon and Andrea Leidemann of Falmouth and their three children Sarah Varney, husband Shawn and daughter Zoe; Jamie Bonnvie, husband Billy and son Logan; Katie Cook, husband Darren;  daughters Karen Queen, husband Donald and their two children Theresa Howell, husband Andrew and Melissa Queen of Richland, WA; Maryellen Labreque, husband Steve of Porter; and Sally Baillargeon and her three children Kristin, Stephen and Kathleen of Old Orchard Beach. A special thank you to Tracy and the staff at Hospice of Southern Maine and to Dr. Ebrahim, Misty and DeeDee.   At her request a private candlelight ceremony will be held at a later date.
