Theresa Marie
Higgins
Aug 27, 1967 — Aug 23, 2026
Westbrook, ME
Theresa Marie Higgins, 58, of Buxton, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2026. Born in Portland, Maine, Theresa was the daughter of Edward F. Jordan Jr. and Mary E. Lebeda, and stepdaughter of Michael Lebeda. She built a life centered around her family and the people she loved.
Theresa found happiness in being together with her family. Some of her favorite days were spent apple picking, going to the fair, gathering everyone for a family barbecue, or simply taking a ride with Dennis in their Corvette. She had a way of making ordinary days memorable, and those simple moments together are among the ones her family will cherish most.
Holidays often meant gathering around the table for Parcheesi, where a game could easily stretch until two in the morning. The laughter, friendly competition, and late nights around the table became a family tradition that won't soon be forgotten.
Theresa was an avid collector of antiques and loved visiting estate sales and auctions with Dennis. She enjoyed the thrill of discovering something special and had a genuine appreciation for pieces with a story and a history. For Theresa, searching for the next treasure was part of the fun.
Theresa and Dennis also shared an interest in real estate. Together, they owned and cared for rental properties over the years. It was another part of the life they built together.
Above all, Theresa loved her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, and becoming a grandmother brought a special kind of joy into her life. Theresa absolutely adored her grandson, Hudson. She treasured the time they spent together, whether they were on a family outing, playing together, or simply enjoying everyday moments. The bond they shared was incredibly special, and Hudson brought so much happiness and love into her life.
Theresa leaves behind her loving husband, Dennis Higgins; her daughters, Hannah Higgins and Ashleigh Morgan; her son-in-law, Dan Morgan; her grandson, Hudson Morgan; and longtime family friend, Anthony “Tony” Furbush, who became family over the years. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Lola and Gypsy, who were very much members of the family.
Theresa will be remembered not only for the things she loved, but for the life she shared with the people around her. Her family will remember the laughter around the table, the family outings, the treasures she discovered, the adventures she shared with Dennis, and all of the ordinary moments that became special simply because they were spent together.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
