Theo W. Dexter, 87, of Park Road, Westbrook, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015. She was born and raised in Kingfield, the daughter of Stanley and Florabelle (Stevens) Washburn. Theo worked at Zayre's Department Store for many years before retiring. Theo enjoyed baking and her chocolate cream pies were enjoyed by many. She loved to knit and crochet, making many afghans for her family. She treasured the time she spent with her family and found great joy in family gatherings. Theo enjoyed traveling and looked forward to her Friday "date night" when she and her husband Glendon would go out for dinner. She was predeceased by a son Bruce Glendon Dexter and a sister Gloria Mitchell. She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Glendon of Westbrook; sons Leonard Dexter and wife Judy Ridge of Windham, Jeffrey and wife Elizabeth Dexter of Portland; daughters Nancy and husband Fernand LaRochelle of Westbrook, and Brenda and husband Robert Tanguay of Windham; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 3 to 7 PM Monday, Dec. 7, at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. Interment will be in the Kingfield Cemetery.
