WESTBROOK – Thelma Marshall Tiffany, 98, of Longfellow Street died Friday, February 16, 2018 at a Portland hospital. Born in Patten, Maine on November 5, 1919, a daughter of Joseph Henry and Lucinda (Boynton) Marshall and grew up in a family of 10. She attended Patten schools and graduated from Mattawamkeag High School. She also graduated from the Maine General School of Nursing in 1941. Mrs. Tiffany spent many years in the nursing profession. She was active in the Maine General Hospital Alumnae and also the Golden Club of the Osteopathy Hospital of Portland. She was a former member of the Women's Club of Westbrook. Mrs. Tiffany often remarked on her wonderful parents and growing up in the town of Patten. She is survived by two sons, William E. Tiffany and his wife, Michele and Robert H. Tiffany all of Gorham; a grandson, Matthew Tiffany and his wife, Linda of Durham; great-granddaughters, Lily Marion Forbes Tiffany and Nina Marion Forbes Tiffany both of Durham; a sister, Dorothy Wright of Scarborough and brother Reverend Paul Marshall of Camden. She was predeceased by her husband, William H. Tiffany; siblings, Patricia Marshall, Ruth Marshall Burngardner, Robert Marshall, Richard Marshall, Herbert Marshall, and Ada Gilly. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 2pm at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress St., Portland, ME 04102.
