Tasha Straatsma Phinney April 15, 1972 – April 12, 2024 Tasha Straatsma Phinney of Scarborough, Maine passed away peacefully at her home on April 12, 2024. Tasha was born on April 15, 1972, in Boothbay Harbor, Maine to William T. Phinney and Jonice M. (Blagdon) Oliver. Graduating in 1990 from Wiscasset High School, she went on to pursue her Associate Degree in Communications from Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts. Her career path led her to long-term positions including at both Irving and Dead River Oil Companies. Tasha is remembered for her quick-witted humor, her smile complete with a twinkle in her eyes, and her positive approach to life. She shared her love and compassion generously with her family. She enjoyed spending good times with her many friends. Tasha excelled in the role of caretaker during difficult life events, and she remained spiritually strong throughout. Visits to the ocean were one of Tasha's favorite things, especially Pine Point in Scarborough, Maine. She also loved all dogs, and car rides to both new and familiar places. Tasha is pre-deceased by her father Bill Phinney, as well as her sister and best friend Jodi Phinney. She is survived by her mother Jonice of Bath, Maine, her uncle and aunt John and Gert Blagdon of Wiscasset, Maine and many dearly loved cousins. All arrangements are under the care and direction of Dolby Blais & Segee. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
