Obituary

Tammy J. Reynolds, 52   Gorham - Tammy J. Reynolds, a resident of Gorham, left us to be with her Grandmother, Mother, Father, Brother and other beloved family members on April 6, 2017 at 6:55 in the evening after a short battle with cancer. Tammy was born on December 15, 1964 in Portland to Larry W  and Karen C (Morse) Reynolds, who recently predeceased her. She is survived by her siblings, Bruce Rideout, Gerald Rideout, Leland Mason, Laurie Reynolds and David Watts.  Her brother, Michael Rideout, preceded her in death in 1990. She also leaves behind three loving children Misty M. Reynolds, Mark D. Brown, Jr. (Robin Lepage), Tammy M. Reynolds and her seven grandchildren Kaylie, Kodey, Kierra, Emma, Brayden, Ian and Keegan. Her extended family of 12 aunts, 6 uncles, several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins are heartbroken over this loss. Tammy spent her entire life taking care of other people.  She became a mother at an early age and from that point on, her own needs always came last.  She raised her three children as a homemaker, ensuring that plenty of memories were made. She was known as the mom that would take as many of the neighborhood kids that she could to the lake on hot summer days.  She was always coming up with fun things for them to do and places for them to go.  In more recent years, she spent much of her time making the same kinds of memories for her grandchildren. While all that loved her are devastated at such a swift battle against this terrible disease, we all take comfort in knowing that she didn't suffer long and that she is now healthy and whole with her family in heaven. Family and friends are invited to share condolences and memories of her at Blais and Hay Funeral Home in Westbrook on Tuesday, April 11th from 1 pm to 3 pm. A benefit being held on Saturday, April 22 from 3 pm to 7 pm at the American Legion (Conant St) in Westbrook to assist with Tammy's final arrangements will also be a time for her loved ones to come and celebrate her life.  If you are interested in attending, tickets will be available in advance and at the door.  Please contact Mark Brown, Jr for more details. In lieu of flowers, please consider attending the benefit or making a contribution to her final arrangements sent to:  Mark Brown, Jr. 42 Mayberry Road Westbrook, ME 04092
