WINDHAM— Suzanne P. Tandberg, 77, the Matriarch of C. R. Tandberg Inc. in Windham earned her angel wings and passed on peacefully at home, on Sunday, October 23, with her loving family by her side, after many years of battling cancer. Suzanne was the daughter of Dorothy Loring. She was born on September 12, 1939, in Darby, Pennsylvania and lived in Delanco, NJ before moving to Portland. She attended schools in Portland and Windham, graduating in 1958 from Windham High School. Sue moved from the Loring family homestead which many remember as the Barnhouse now Gilberts to her beloved 92 Tandberg Trail when she married Dick on October 10, 1958, where she has lived and brought up their family while running C.R. Tandberg Inc. The family enjoyed summers at the camp at Big Sebago Lake Basin. Sue and Dick built a house in St. Cloud Florida and spent many winters there. Sue devoted many hours to her grandchildren. They were a very important part of her life. She enjoyed being program chairman and organizing tasks for others to do like the construction of Ashley's swimming pool. When Dick passed in 1996, Sue's passion was the business. She strived to make sure Dick would be proud of how it was running. She loved her crew, former employees and their families. She considered them all her extended family. Not only will the employees miss her but NO ONE can replace her cinnamon rolls, molasses cookies, and apple pies. She was predeceased by her husband, C. R. "Dick" and her granddaughter, Ashley Hill. Sue was also predeceased by her mother and several uncles who were "father" figures in her life. Sue is survived by her son, Timothy R. Tandberg and his wife Kelley, daughter, Tammy Tandberg Hill and her husband Richard; grandsons, T.J. Tandberg, Cody Hill, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hill; a brother, Richard Parry, and a sister, Janet Jones; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Cedars and their staff and also to the home care nurses, Teresa and Brandi who took special care of Sue.
