Steven Ray Mason, 66 of Windham, Maine, passed away Tuesday July 4, 2023 at his home following a period of failing health. He was born on January 10, 1957 in Portland, Maine the son of Linwood Carroll and Barbara Ann (Howard) Mason and attended schools in Portland including Deering High School. Steven had worked for the Portland Post Office, the City of Portland in the Parks and Recreation Department and L.L. Bean. Most recently, Steven has worked for Tyson Foods and locally known as Barber Foods. Steven was a kind and quiet man who enjoyed playing cards, watching movies and doing Suduko puzzles. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching New England sports. From a young age he could recall stats of many players and teams. Members of his family include his sister Vickie L. Devlin and her husband Stuart of Wells; three nieces Caj L. MacDonald and her husband Kevin and their children Benjamin and Lindsey of Raymond, Kristen E. Arcand and her husband Raymond and their children Ray, Ella and Paddy of Newburyport, Massachusetts and Kaitlin E. Devlin of Wells; In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Linda McPhee with whom she shared her home with him for the past 7 years. A private funeral with burial will take place in Raymond Hill Cemetery.
