Obituary

Steven M. Caron, 60, of North Street, Westbrook , passed away Tuesday at his home. He was born in Portland, the son of Donald and Harriet (LeClair) Caron.  He was raised in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School. Steve worked at S.D. Warren for 28 years; he also worked for the T.S.A, and most recently worked security for Hannaford. Steve was one of the original members of the Westbrook Rescue Unit and has remained an active member of Westbrook Fire Police. He was also the Assistant Chief for the Limington Fire Department. Steve enjoyed taking his yearly motorcycle trip to Lake George, NY with his family and friends.  He enjoyed hunting with his buddy Ronnie Usher up to Moosehead, and to say he loved the Beach Boys is an under statement he would travel to different locations to see them play when ever he could, probably his best memory would have been the last concert he attended the 50th anniversary tour of the Original Beach Boys last year with his two children by his side.  Steve truly enjoyed spending his days at Wassamki springs campground, visiting family and friends. He is survived by his Mother Harriet of Gorham; son Robert and wife Nicole Caron of Standish; daughter Ruth-Ann and husband Tony LaBrecque of Standish; brother Gary and wife Kimberly Caron of Westbrook; sisters Teresa and husband Mark Sanborn of Windham, and Lisa and husband Tony Tanguay of Gorham; , 7 grandchildren, Avery, Brandon, CC, Logan, Mason, Corey, and Kyle; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his girlfriend Lynelle LeClair and her son Matthew of Gorham. Visiting hours will be held from 3 to 7 pm Sunday, at Blais and Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook, where a funeral service will be held at 10AM Monday. Interment will be private. On line condolences may be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gorham Fire and Rescue 270 Main Street Gorham Maine 04038 or Westbrook Fire and Rescue 570 Main Street Westbrook Maine 04092
