Stephen Francis Mannion, 74, of Mast Rd., Westbrook, passed away at his home Tuesday, April 21, 2015. He was born in Portland, the son of Thomas and Agnes (Murphy) Mannion. Stephen was raised in Portland and graduated from Cheverus High School. He later served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, where he received the Accommodation Award. After serving in the Army, he went to work for John J. Nissen Bakery, where he worked for 40 years before retiring. Stephen was happy that he lived long enough to see his beloved Red Sox win three World Series. He was predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Donald, and his sisters Betty Parent and Anne Shira. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Ursula (Pesce);his sons Stephen and Craig Mannion, all of Westbrook; and his sister Mary Egan of Portland.
