Stephen S. Lowell, 58, of Glenwood Ave., Westbrook, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Westbrook, the son of David and Jean (Bailey) Lowell. Stephen worked at Data General for 14 years and Airborne Express for many years before retiring. He was a volunteer for the Westbrook Fire Dept. for 15 years. Stephen was a past Master of the Masons Saccarappa Lodge, a member of the Mizpah Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Worthy Patron for over 15 years, and a Kora Shriner, which he was past director of the Royal Guards. He was an avid Patriots fan, and enjoyed playing darts, and bowling in several leagues. He was predeceased by his father David. He is survived by his mother Jean Lowell of Westbrook; wife Denise(Killinger) Lowell of Westbrook; son Eric Lowell and his wife Reneé of Westbrook; daughter Angela Davis and husband Christian of New Gloucester; stepson Stephen Limmer of Gorham; stepdaughter Elizabeth Babbidge and husband Brian of Lewiston; his brother Bruce Lowell Sr. and his wife Sharon of Westbrook; grandchildren Cassidy Weston, Parker Lowell, Shane Lowell, Ava Davis, Robyn Babbidge, and Abigail Babbidge; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM Saturday with Masonic and Eastern Star services at 7 PM at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. On line condolences may be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
