Stanley B. Goff, 69, of Wakefield Dr., East Waterboro, formerly of Westbrook, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012. He was born in Portland, the son of Stanley and Florence (Haley) Goff. Stan worked for the Westbrook Fire Department for 26 years retiring as Captain. He also served as Captain of Westbrook's Engine 1 Call Company, and worked for the Maine Fire and Training and Education Program. Stan enjoyed golfing, boating, and skiing. He served on the safety patrol at Shawnee Peak in Bridgton. He was a member of the Downeast Ski Club, served as Vice President of the Little Ossipee Lake Association, and was a lifetime member (Golden Eagle) of the Westbrook Eagles Club. He is survived by his mother Florence Goff Kelly of Westbrook ; wife Mariann (Anastasio) Goff of East Waterboro; daughters Lori Goff Moody of Sanford and Paula Raia and her husband Tony of Lyman; grandchildren Christina Raia, Darren Moody, and E. Nicholas Moody; two brothers, Lindsey (Bill) Goff of Hollis, and Robert Goff of Westbrook. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Saturday at St. Anthony's Parish Church, Brown St., Westbrook. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
