Westbrook – Sidney J. Colby, 74, of Berkeley St. died Tuesday June 11, in a Portland hospital. He was born in Oswego, N.Y. the son of Beatrice Colby. Sidney served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Special Forces. He had been employed by the S. D. Warren Co. for over 38 yrs. retiring in 2003. He was very involved with History and was an avid hunter. He was predeceased by a daughter Gale Colby Lewis. He is survived by his wife Gladys Kneeland Colby, sons Ken and Kathleen Lamb of ME., Paul and Nancy Lamb of N.H. and William Colby of CA., daughters Robin Bryson of TX., Sherry and Steve Swinnerton of MD., Sue Ellen Colby of IL., 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother Warren Colby, Sister Pat Christy and several nieces and nephews.
