Sharon Rose Schrum passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2017. Sharon was born January 22, 1950 in Long Beach, California; the eldest girl of 6 children; to Shirley Mae Waldie and Victor Albert Edwards. Growing up Sharon enjoyed playing sports and she loved animals, even working at a hatchery as a kid. She lovingly cared for her younger siblings, then her own children and finally her two grandchildren. She was always willing to help, she was open, loving and easy to talk to; always had a smile and an infectious laugh to share. Sharon worked 30+ years in the automobile industry, and could answer any question her co-workers had for her. Through work she met her husband, Jon Schrum. They married in 1980, and began their own family in Costa Mesa, California. Her and Jon worked tirelessly to provide their children with a nurturing environment, and good education. After retirement, they moved to Maine, where they began construction on a home in Cornish, to be near their grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her husband Jon Schrum, daughter Kelly and her husband Iacopo Cecchi, and daughter Amanda and her husband Nathan Stacey, and their children, Sayde and Quinn; Sharon's siblings, Gary, Mary, John, Theresa, Nancy, their spouses, and 12 nieces and nephews. There will be a prayer service on August 26, 2017 from 5:00-7:00pm, at Dolby Funeral Chapel, 76 State Street, Gorham. She will then be brought to her final resting place near her mother and father in Long Beach, California.
