Windham – Scott W. Coffin, 51, died on February 28, 2016. He was born on in Newburyport, MA on October 19, 1964, the son of Douglas and Betty (Anderson) Coffin. Scott grew up in Machiasport, and graduated from Washington Academy in 1983, but he's been a resident of Windham for over the past 25 years. He built himself a career in bridge construction, which he loved, and he also worked for A.H. Harris, receiving the honors of top sales multiple times. His fishing and hunting trips with his son were times that he cherished, along with the times he spent watching Sean's soccer and basketball games. Scott was an avid NASCAR fan, taking an annual trip to Bristol, TN. He was also a Bruins and Patriots fan. In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his wife, Michele (Stiles) Coffin; son, Sean Coffin of Windham; step daughters, Bryanna (Stiles) Chute of New Gloucester, and Yvette Schussler of Windham; his aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his in-laws, the Stiles family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 2pm, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham. Visiting hours will be held from 1pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at Bucks Harbor Hillside Cemetery in the late spring or early summer for the family.
