Westbrook Sandra "Tilly" Allen, 76, left one life to begin another, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Springbrook Health Center in Westbrook. She was born in Portland on October 29, 1940 to Frank and Madeline (Deroche) Allen. Tilly spent her younger years in Eliot, ME. She retired from the Barron Center after 25 years of service. Tillie knew how to have fun and enjoyed life. Her greatest passions were her love for God, spending time with family, watching the Red Sox, assembling puzzles, gardening, playing cards, and bingo. In addition to her parents Tilly was predeceased by her brothers, William & Clarence Allen, and sister Christine Willis. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Allen of Sanbornville, NH, Deborah Cormier and her husband Toussaint (Joe) of South Windsor, CT, and Linda Allen of Newmarket, NH; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and her beloved cats, Pretty Girl and Angel. Tilly's sisters would like to express sincere gratitude to their cousins for all of the love and support over the years and always being there for her. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM – 7:00PM Monday October 9, at the Blais and Hay Funeral Home 35 Church Street, Westbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Tuesday October 10, at St. Anthony's Parish, 268 Brown Street, Westbrook. Burial will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday October 11, at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Westbrook.
