Sandra Mae Guidi, 73, of Westbrook, died peacefully on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015, at the Gosnell House in Scarborough surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Joseph Everett Sr. and Ethel (Brown) Everett, she was born on August 20, 1941 in Wilmington, Delaware, the youngest of six children. In 1959, she met and married Robert W. Thompson and raised four children. Sandy met and married Frank P. Guidi Sr. on July 7, 1985. Together they have 7 children. For many years they ran Guidi's Diner, located in Westbrook. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sandy was pre-deceased by her parents, all her siblings, and a grandson, Anthony Vail, in 1990. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Frank P. Guidi Sr. of Westbrook, her children Laura and husband Michael Cook of Westbrook, Donna and husband John Grondin of Scarborough, Jim Thompson of Colorado Springs, CO, Michael Thompson and wife Sonia of Westbrook, Lisa DiPietro and husband Rudy of Westbrook, Andrea Vail and husband Michael of Mooresville, NC, Frank P. Guidi Jr and wife Janice Daley of Brunswick, and her 13 grandchildren; Andrew (RaeAnne) and Joseph (Shelby) Cook; Mackenzie & Riley Grondin; Kevin and Jonathan Thompson; Michele Davis; Rudy (Cassandra), Angelo and Gino DiPietro; Christina, Maria, and Leah Vail. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for the loving care of our mother in her last days.
