Sadie Annie Lappin, 88 Portland – Sadie Annie Lappin, 88, died peacefully on September 18, 2017 at the Barron Center. She was born in Westbrook, on May 12, 1929, the daughter of Willis and Mildred (Parker) Strout. On July 1, 1950 she married the love of her life, Eugene Clifford Lappin. Together they raised 6 children. Sadie and Cliff could be found on Saturday night dancing. Sadie is predeceased by her husband Cliff on March 14, 2001, and would have been married for 67 years; sons, Richard and Robert, son-in-law, Michael Cox; and siblings, Willis, Clarence, Nettie, Arlene, and Beatrais. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Pomelow and husband Steve of Gorham, Deborah Cox of Gorham, and Patty Michaud and husband Victor of Westbrook; and son, Russell Lappin of Green. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Steven, Tina, Lauren, Patrick, Angela, Adam, Alan, Josh, Joey, and Jessy; and 12 great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 3rd Floor South at the Barron Center for the wonderful care she received. A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11am, at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., where a period of visitation will be held from 10am until the time of the service.
