WINDHAM – Ruth Andrews Johnston of Mims, Florida and recently of Windham died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 18, 1938 in Portland a daughter of Ernest and Ruth Andrews. Ruth graduated from Windham High School and was a head majorette with the band for several years. After graduation, she worked and retired from Bank of America. In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Paul, March 18, 2016. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Vicki Joy Powell and husband, Jay and Nancy Guptill and husband Roger; two step-sons, Paul Johnston, Jr. and wife, Kathy and Wayne Johnston and wife Debbie; a sister Dorothy Maxwell whom she lived with; two brothers, Daniel Andrews and wife Elsie and Ernest Andrews; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday December 20, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. Ruth will be privately interned at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
