GREENE- Russell "Rusty" Lappin 61, died Friday April 13, 2018 at his home. He was born February 15, 1957 in Portland, ME a son of Eugene and Sadie (Strout) Lappin. Rusty grew up in Westbrook and attended local schools. Following school, he proudly served his country in both the Air Force and Army. Rusty worked at Sappi Paper Co. and also enjoyed volunteering at Mercy Hospital in Westbrook. He liked to hunt, fish, boat, snowmobile, and ride his motorcycle. He will be remembered for his charismatic personality, love for the New England patriots, and most importantly the love for his family. In addition to his parents Rusty was predeceased by his brothers; Richard and Robert Lappin. He is survived by his children; Russell A. Lappin II and wife, Miranda of Lisbon, Jessica Lappin, of Norway, Joshua Lappin and wife, Christina of Greene, and Joseph Lappin, also of Greene; sisters, Sherry Pomerleau and husband, Steve of Gorham, Debbie Cox, of Gorham, and Patty Michaud and husband, Victor of Westbrook; best friend Louanna Lappin of Norway; Grandchildren, Keaton, Isaac, Ari, Riley, Braiden, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, April 20 at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church St. Westbrook. A memorial service will be held following visitation at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Westbrook.
