Russell Earl Fearon, 80 WESTBROOK- Russell E. Fearon, 80, passed away on February 20, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Russell was born December 8, 1934 in Buckland, MA. son of Robert and Gladys Fearon. Russell graduated from Whitefield High School, as President of his class in 1952. He spent four years in the United States Navy, where he was a plank holder on the U.S.S. Forestal. Following the Navy attended Plymouth State College and married the love his life, Claudette Cliché, also of Whitefield, NH, in May of 1959. After his graduation from Plymouth State, Russell and Claudette relocated to Milford, NH. There he was a Business and English teacher at the local high school. While in Milford, he continued to further his education, earning his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Fitchburg State. He then became the Business Administrator for the Milford School System. From Milford, the Fearon's relocated to Lebanon, NH where Russell became the Business Administrator for the Hanover, NH School System. In 1979, the Fearons moved to Westbrook, ME where Russell became the Business Administrator for the Westbrook School Department before retiring in 1990. Russell was predeceased by one son, Stephen Edward Fearon, and survived by his loving wife, Claudette, of Westbrook, son Paul Fearon of Gorham, Maine; daughter Lynn Fearon Chase of Gorham, Maine; son Jeffrey Fearon of Washington D.C.; Jennifer Sawyer of Standish, Maine; grandchildren: Megan Fearon, Trevor Chase, Alyson Fearon, Alexander Chase, Gabrielle Sawyer, and AnnaSophia Sawyer. A Catholic Mass will take place Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at St. Anthony's Cathedral, 268 Brown St. Westbrook, Maine. Reception following the mass, will be held in the church hall. Russell's family would like to thank the staff from Hospice of Southern Maine for their compassion and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Russell's name to Hospice of Southern Maine.
