Rose Marie Morris, 58, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday December 25, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born March 24, 1964, in Portland, a daughter of Willett and Dorothy (Morrell) Brown. Rose grew up in Windham and was a 1982 graduate of Windham High School. She spent a good part of her life working at Port City Dental Lab. After early retirement, Rose fulfilled her dream of moving to Florida with her husband, Ron. There, they spent years of walking the beach, playing cards and games with friends, and exploring Johns Pass. To be closer to family, she moved back to Maine in 2018. She began her second career as a Dental Assistant at the University of New England. Rose enjoyed crafting, cooking, and card making. Her and family enjoyed many years camping in Jackman and The West Forks. Rose was the definition of strong and selfless. She had a heart of gold. Her beautiful soul was taken much too soon from us, but she will live on in our hearts forever. For every dragonfly we see, and every cardinal that passes us by, we know she is watching over us. Rose is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 14 years Ronald Morris; sons, Justin Grass and his son Nathaniel Carroll, and Zachery Grass, his wife Sonya, their sons Lorenzo and Xavier and their dog Gracie; sister, Brenda Greenleaf; and step – children, Jessica Waterman and Herb Ring. Visiting hours will be held from 4 – 6PM Friday December 30, at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Road, Windham. A service will follow visitation at 6PM. A reception will follow from 7-10 at the Windham Veterans Center. Interment will be held in the spring at Arlington Cemetery, Windham.
