Rose P. Morin, 81, of Westbrook passed away on June 14th surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 18th, 1944 in Montclair, New Jersey to Louis and Rita “Libby” Petronaci. Rose was a Benefits Specialist at UNUM Insurance for over 30 years. Prior to that she worked as the Office Manager in the family’s appliance store along with her husband. Rose was a graduate from the University of New Hampshire with a major in Spanish. She taught in the Dover Schools and served as a member of the school board.
On December 26th, 1966, she married her beloved husband, Raymond J. Morin.
Rose was best known for her devotion to her family, her country, and her faith. She also enjoyed spending time with friends, especially her friends from college, walking, book clubs, Mahjong and volunteering at church. Rose had a deep love for all animals, especially dogs, and took great joy in spending time with her “grandpups”.
Rose is survived by her three loving children, Sheryl Marean and her husband James, Melissa Meggison and her husband Michael, and Raymond Morin and his wife Cynthia. Rose also had four loving grandchildren Emily Marean, Jameson Marean, Mia Morin and Ava Morin as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her loving husband, her parents Rita and Louis, her two sisters Josephine Petronaci and Sylvia Huffman, her three brothers Anthony, Nicholas and Louis Petronaci.
Visitation will be at Dolby, Blais and Segee Westbrook Chapel located at 35 Church St. Westbrook on Sunday June 28th from 4-7pm. A mass will be held on Monday, June 29th at St. Anne’s Church in Gorham at 11am.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland or St. Jude Children”s Hospital.
