Auburn – Rose E. Labrecque, 89, died peacefully on October 28, 2013, at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn. She was born on November 10, 1923, in Saco, the daughter of Napoleon and Delia (Gregoire) Sevigny. Rose was a member of the Daughters of Isabella of St. Hyacinth Church in Westbrook. She was very devoted to her Catholic faith. Rose attended the Saco schools before she started working full-time at the age of 16. She will be remembered for her kindness, love, her gentle soul, and generous spirit. Rose is survived by one son, John and his wife Sharon of Westbrook, two daughters, Susan Dunlap of Bangor, and Cynthia Baker-Eldred and husband Phil of Windham, seven grandchildren, Bob and Ron Sherman, Douglas and Danny Baker, Kristina Zakrzewski, Candice Antonellis, and Joe DeCosta, nine great-grandchildren, Corbin, Christopher, Gabe, Luke, Liliana, Ella Rose, Owen, Bella, and Jake, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Baker, her husbands, Robert Baker and Albert Labrecque, and five sisters, Emma, Claudia, Irene, Amanda, and Laura. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Androscoggin Home Health, the staff at the Hospice House, Clover Healthcare of Auburn, and Portland Center for Assisted Living for the wonderful care they have given Rose over the years. Friends and relatives may pay their respects at Blais and Hay Funeral Home in Westbrook on Wednesday, October 30, between the hours of 4-8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m at St. Annes Church in Gorham on Thursday, October 31.
