Rolande Blanche Vail, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Somerset Rehabilitation & Living Center, Bingham, Maine. She was born in Westbrook, the daughter of  Eugene and Jacqueline (Gregoire) Hebert Sr..  She graduated from Westbrook High School and later worked at McClellan's Five and Dime, Berson's Clothing Store, S.D. Warren Paper Co., Vail's Texaco Station, and Data General. Rolande enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also had a love of birds. She was predeceased by her husband Linwood Vail in 1998, her sisters Rejane Peters and Marcelle Arsenault. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Vail Anderson and son-in-law Todd Anderson; grandchildren Corrine, Garrett, and Jacob Anderson, all of Skowhegan; a sister Grace (Hebert) Peters of Westbrook; and brothers Gerard Hebert of  Portland, and Gene Hebert of  Port Orange, FL. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 6 PM Tuesday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook, followed by a Memorial Service at 6 PM.  Interment will be at a later date at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.  To express on-line condolences to the family, please go to blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
