Roland "Sy" Sirois 82 Old Orchard Beach - Roland went to his eternal rest on March 1, after a very brief time with complications of Parkinson's. He was the son of Hormidas and Alicia Sirois of Westbrook, Maine. Blessed with a full and joy filled life, Roland served as a priest in the Catholic Diocese of Portland from 1961-1974. In 1975 he married his beloved wife Claire, who will miss his love, companionship, zest for life and his great sense of humor. He will also be missed by the pride and joy of his life- his son Alan and his wife Lauramarie of Agawam, MA, and his daughter Stephanie Magdis and her husband Jeffrey, along with their precious daughter Samantha, of Beverly, MA. Also missing Roland are his cousins, neighbors and his many beach friends: locals and tourists who lovingly called him "the Ambassador of Old Orchard Beach," as they enjoyed his daily "meet and greet," walking, listening, sharing jokes and, in recent years, sharing his frequent kite flying with young and old alike. A Mass celebrating Roland's life will be Saturday, March 18th2017, at Noon at St. Margaret's Church, 6 Saco Avenue in Old Orchard Beach.
