Roland N. Buteau of Westbrook, Maine died on august 16, at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Westbrook the son of Adrian A. and Delia (Lachance) Buteau on April 20, 1927. He worked for many years at S. D. Warren Company,  he then worked as a Master Electrician at several companies, retiring in 1989. He entered the U.S Army in 1945 and served in Germany until 1947. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Carolyn M. Mackay Buteau, his son Roger P. Buteau and wife Ewa, his daughter, Debra Marcoux and husband Art, two granddaughters Kristen C. Buteau and her partner Craig Masse, and Melissa Coy and her husband Michael, also one great grandson Liam Coy,Also surviving are two sisters Eleanore Chase of Virginia and Dorothy Caron of Westbrook, as well as several nieces and nephews. Roland was an early morning regular at Guidi's Diner in Westbrook, and the family would like to send their thanks to all the folks there who have given him so much pleasure the last few years. A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, August 21 from 11am to 12pm with a service starting at 12 at the Blais and Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook. The burial will be private.
