Windham Maine – Rodney E. Sirois, 59, died peacefully at his home on November 28th, 2016. He was born in Caribou, on February 1st, 1957, the son of the late Côme and Simoné Sirois. Rodney grew up in the County and was a 1975 graduate of Van Buren High School. He worked serval jobs over the years, starting out in the potato fields, then making tennis rackets before becoming a crane operator for the Portland Dredge Company, where he worked for many years. Rodney was a home body and enjoyed the simple things, especially feeding and watching the birds by his home. He was a kind man who liked the simple things in life. Rodney was an individual who lived by his own short motto, "I don't have much, but I don't ask for much." He is survived by his significant other, Doris Gough; daughter Danielle Nicole Niles of Biddeford; step-sons, Shannon Keith Hulit and wife Laurie of Gorham, Troy Allen Hulit of Portland, and Derek William Gough and his fianceé Bethany McCoubrey of Westbrook; grandchildren, Kaidyn James Miller and Avah Alexis Major; and brother, Paul Sirois and wife Kathleen of Windham, NH. A period of visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4th, 2016 at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham Maine, from 1 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Mayberry Cemetery on Park Rd.
