Robert William Turner, 73, of Windham, passed away on March 26, 2024. He was born on September 19, 1950 in Brunswick to William and Marilyn (Brown) Turner. Robert graduated from Freeport High School in 1968 and was drafted to the Army in 1970. He spent time in Germany during the Vietnam era shortly after he got married to his loving wife, Debbie. The two went on to have three children together. After his time in the military Robert was very active with his sons in the boy scouts and enjoyed spending time hiking with the family and traveling to historical sites. Robert will be remembered for being a loving and caring father, husband, grandfather and friend. He was a kind and gentle person who will be remembered for his love and appreciation for music, especially Pink Floyd, and always rooting for the Giants, rivaling his favorite daughter's football team, the Patriot's. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his seven grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife, Debbie, whom they just shared their 53rd wedding anniversary with on March 16th; his children, Matthew, and his wife, Stella, Scott, and his wife, Shawna, and Laura Smart, and her husband Rob; grandchildren, Dylan, Bailey, Mckenna, Briley, Nikki, Will, and Hudson and his great granddaughter, Wren; siblings, David, and his wife, Marci, Stephen, and his wife, Martha, Susan, and her husband Dickey. He is predeceased by his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 21st from 12:00 to 3:00pm at the Windham Veteran's Center, 35 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Windham, Maine.
