GORHAM—Robert William Rowe, 82, of White Rock in Gorham, died December 22, 2018 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Gorham, a son of Stillman and Belle (Guilford) Rowe. In 1958, he married Judy Willis Rowe; they settled in the White Rock area of Gorham and raised four children. Bob worked at the City of Portland Parks Department and at USM where he retired as a groundskeeper. Bob enjoyed many trips to the Moosehead Lake Region and the annual deer hunting trip to Shirley with "the boys". He enjoyed fishing on Sebago and had a passion for gardening and landscaping which was reflected by his well-kept property. He is survived by sons, Wayne Rowe of Standish, and Tim Rowe and his wife Michele, also of Standish; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother in law, Clifford Willis of Gorham, two sisters in laws, Rita Willis of Gorham and Norma Gallant of Standish, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Judy Rowe, son, Greg Rowe and daughter Suellen Barter Lightfoot. There will be no visiting hours, a graveside service is being planned for the Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11am at White Rock Cemetery in Gorham.
