Obituary

Robert D. McKinley, 82, of Spring St., Westbrook, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 06, 2012, at the Mercy Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Westbrook, the son of Arthur and Louise (Wentworth) McKinley.  He was raised in Westbrook by his grandparents and graduated from Westbrook High School.  He served in the Military Police in the Army Reserves. Robert worked at the S.D. Warren Paper Co. for 42 years before retiring.  He also did painting and wallpapering on the side. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening, and painting portraits.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Faith. He is survived by his son Cliff and his wife Vicki of Westbrook, a brother Roland McKinley of Westbrook, and a granddaughter Faith McKinley of Westbrook. Visiting hours will be from 11 AM to 1PM Monday followed by a funeral service at 1 PM at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.  To sign an on line guest book please go to www.blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
