Limerick- Robert "Bob" B. Low, 85 died Monday, April 16, 2018. He was born July 26, 1932 in Portland, ME the son of Byron R. and Reba (Blake) Low, and spent his entire childhood in South Portland. Bob attended the University of Maine at Orono, and later enlisted in the Army in 1955 and was stationed in Frankfort, Germany till 1958. He enjoyed a 50-year career in the construction and surveying industry, the last 30 years being with RJ Grondin of Gorham. He married his wife, Patricia (Lenahan) in Basel, Switzerland on October 16, 1956 spending 61 years together and sharing five children. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by one brother, Norman Low. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia of Limerick who was a devoted wife, friend, and his caretaker in his last days, when his health began deteriorating rapidly. In addition, he leaves behind five children; David Low and wife Diane, Cathy Low and husband Dennis Worcester, Stephen Low and wife Debbie, John Low and wife Kimberly, and James Low and wife Mary. Eleven Grandchildren; Tracy, Adam, Kurt, Erik, Greg, Dani, Meri, Ashley, Trevor, Zack, and Samantha and three great-grandchildren; Eli, Noah, and Abby. He enjoyed spending time in the Rangeley Lakes region and his children remember long drives to Disney World and places in-between and a love for the outdoors. At his request, he will be cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Bob on June 9th at 11:00am at the North Street Cemetery in Gorham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland or the Multiple Sclerosis Society – Maine Chapter.
