Robert Paul Arsenault, 63, of Nasson Ave, Westbrook, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 06, 2015 at his home. He was born in Portland and raised in Westbrook, the son of Raymond "Pickle" and Roberta (Gaudreau) Arsenault. He graduated from Westbrook High School and was a member of the swimming team. Bob served in the US Army as a surveyor and was stationed in Germany for part of his term. After serving his country he took a job at Data General, which later became Precis Metals. Bob was exceptionally artistic and used his welding skills to craft sculptures. Most recently he was involved with computer editing, which he was doing for promos. He was very spiritual and had a love of music; he was a self-taught bass player. He also enjoyed bicycling, and motorcycles. Bob was predeceased by his Dad. He is survived by his Mother Roberta Arsenault of Westbrook; a son Ian Bonville; his brothers Gerard of Sebago and John and his wife Stephanie Westbrook; sisters Pauline and husband Paul Holloway of Edgecomb and Susan Arsenault of Gorham; and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 PM Friday which will include a time of sharing at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.
