Robert "Bob" Theodore Ames died at Maine Medical Center on January 2nd 2024. He was born at Westbrook Hospital on July 25th 1962 and was the son of the late Theodore Ames and Levena (Carmichael) Ames. Bob Graduated from Westbrook High School as class of 1980 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. After 4 years he returned home to Maine. Years later Bob met Kimberley O'Brien and they were married in 1995. During 29 years of marriage, they raised two kids Amanda and Joshua in their home in Westbrook. Bob has an 8-year-old granddaughter born to Amanda named Lennox McIntosh who he spent each day with. From playing board games or walking her to and from school, the two adored each other and shared a close bond. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Donna Ames and Judy (Ames) Andrews. Surviving are his sister Nancy (Ames) Hatch and her husband Cliff Hatch and brother Jim Ames. The Family would like to thank the staff at Maine Medical Center for the loving care Bob received and the support the family received. The Funeral Service will be held on January 13th at 12pm at Dolby Blais and Segee on 434 River Road in Windham. A reception will be held following the service in the American Legion at 300 Conant Street in Westbrook from 2-4:30pm. We hope all who knew Bob will join us to celebrate his life and impact on our hearts.
