Robert Arthur Clark Jr., "Pete", aged 71, passed away on August 25, 2024, in Portland, ME. Born on November 15, 1952, Pete was a cherished member of his family and community, known for his passion for the outdoors, his leadership at work, his dry and witty sense of humor, and his immense love and support for his given and chosen families. Pete dedicated his entire career to leading teams who manage municipal wastewater treatment processes, most recently serving as the Wastewater Treatment Superintendent for the Town of Falmouth, Maine prior to his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, a skilled craftsman with talents in fly tying and woodworking, and he cherished spending quality time with those he loved. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Cheryl; his daughter, Erin and her partner, Janelle; three grandchildren, James, Arianna, and Joshua; his father, Robert "Pete" Sr.; and his siblings, Sue, Nellie, Harriet, and Howard, along with their spouses and families. Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette. He will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know and love him. A service in remembrance of Pete will be held to honor his life and legacy on Saturday, September 14th at 1:00 at the First Parish Church - 1 Church St in Gorham, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund in Pete's memory.
