Scarborough – Richard A. Philpot 79, passed away Friday July 20. He was born in Limerick the son of Andrew and Helen Plaisted Philpot. He was raised and educated in Limerick. Richard enjoyed many things in life including, fishing, gardening in his vegetable garden, and taking winter trips to Florida. Richard also loved just hanging out and relaxing with all of his friends at Wassamki Springs Campground. Richard was predeceased by his parents, his sister Rachel, and brothers Ronnie, and Louis. He is survived by his son Richard Philpot and wife Anne of West Standish, daughters Cynthia Collins and husband Marty of Lancaster, CA, Laurie Philpot and partner Jay Bush of Portland, Pamela Mowatt and husband Kevin of Portland, Barbara Philpot Rico and partner Marc Roberge of Saco, Brothers Robert of TX, William of MA, Leon of AL, Gerry of NC, and Daniel of MA, Sisters Frances of TX, Ruth Tripp of Limington, Julia Dearborn of Limington, and Priscilla Wentworth of Porter. Richard is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A visiting hour will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the start of the funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook.
