Obituary

Richard "Ricky" Lynn Wilson, 53, passed away on June 21 in Houston, TX.  He was born November 18, 1958 in Portland, ME to Thomas and Bette (Browne) Wilson.  He grew up in and attended Westbrook schools.  Ricky served in the U. S. Army working heavy artillery while stationed at Wiesbaden, Germany and Fort Sill, OK.  After his discharge, he worked various jobs in Maine, Virginia, and Florida before taking up permanent residence in Houston in the early 1990s. Ricky was amazingly gifted with his hands.  He could repair all things mechanical, build anything out of wood from a picnic table to a house, and his drawing and painting skills were unmatched.  But, he will be best remembered for his warm, down-to-earth personality which allowed him to easily make friends wherever he went, whatever the occasion. He is survived by his brothers Thomas Wilson and his wife Patricia of Cheyenne, WY, Peter Wilson and his wife Denise of Westbrook, Gregory Wilson and his partner Sandy Haan of Lennox, SD, sisters Angela Wilson of Westbrook, Kristine Wilson and her partner David Brule of Lewiston, and numerous nieces and nephews.   Ricky was preceded in death by his parents. A private service will be held at a later date.
