GORHAM—Richard J. Fickett, 78, died on March 20, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born February 10, 1940, a son of Warren and Doris Fickett. Dick worked at Songo Shoe and then was employed for the Cape Elizabeth public works for 25 years. He was a member of the Portland and Westbrook Eagles Club. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Fickett; a son Joseph Fickett and his partner Tammy Gagnon; sister in law, Mary Fickett; brother in law Donald Tapley and his wife Roberta; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings. Per Dick's wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are in the care of the Gorham Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 76 State St., Gorham, ME 04038.
